WEGO Prayer Guide – April 2018

“I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.”
-Philippians 3:10-11

Do you really believe this?

Do you really think a man seriously took a breath after not breathing one for three days? Even more, do you believe that Jesus’ grave victory really loosens the grip of death and eternal bondage on those who trust in Him? And to top it all off, do you really believe you get a cut of that resurrection power although you bring nothing to the table except faith? We get to know Christ and share in His resurrection. He also finds a way to use our sufferings as vehicles to know Him even more.  This is absolutely insane stuff we’re talking about here. In light of Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday, we must ask ourselves one more important question: If we truly believe God holds the power to do this grand thing of resurrection and soul salvation then how much more does He also have the power to hear our prayers and answer them?

May we go before God now with complete confidence in His power to act. He can handle three days dead and He can take care of eternal damnation. I think He can also carry church growth and the daily burdens that trouble us. Through prayer we get to intimately know this lofty God of infinite ability and strength. Worship Him as you pray. Believe the same power that rose Christ from the dead on that beautiful Sunday is available to us now as we bring these requests before Him.

Renovacion Nazarena –  Jinotepe, Nicaragua

From Pastor Moises Moraga:
“I am 57 years old. My wife’s name is Mireya Perez and we have been married for 35 years. I have a 34-year-old son and a 29-year-old daughter. I have been the pastor of this church for 11 years now. Every month we have 5 or 7 souls saved. Every Wednesday and Friday, we have prayer and evangelization groups. We evangelize in parks, markets, and hospitals. We have 25 houses where we have prayer groups, share the gospel, and read the Word of God.

We also have an addiction recover group on Saturdays.  The church cooks lunch for them and we also share the gospel with them. We have a women’s ministry where we share the gospel with very poor women that go through difficult economic problems and work in prostitution. We also have a compassion ministry for kids and elderly. We work together with 5 more communities where we have Sunday school classes. We pray that the Lord will keep helping us with what we do for His Honor and Glory.”

How You Can Pray:
1) For revival and fullness of the Holy Spirit in our church.
2) Please pray for spiritual growth and maturity for our leaders and pastors. Also, for unity as the Body of Christ.
