Our goal is not simply humanitarian relief but Christ-transformation for people and communities. Our main purpose is to introduce salvation by faith through grace alone so that it would enable others to enter into a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ and to give people every opportunity to grow into mature followers of Him. We do this by loving and serving others as a response to and demonstration of God’s great love.
We empower indigenous Christ-followers to serve and operate each ministry. They are not hired hands but native saints who instinctively know the language, challenges, and culture of the communities we serve. We take a field-led approach to ministry that seeks to encourage and support the ongoing efforts and leadership of our local staff. We also work hard to empower the people we serve by making sure everything we do gives people ownership over their own lives and helps them in the long-run.
We believe the local church is God’s institution for discipleship, fellowship, accountability, and spiritual growth. We strive to work through and alongside local congregations in fulfilling their call to make disciples of all nations and impact the world. Wherever possible, we partner with local churches in America and where we operate abroad as they mutually serve, train, and resource our ministries and each other.
