My Story
I went on my first mission trip in the 1980’s to Haiti. For the first time I understood that loving my neighbor extends beyond those in my own neighborhood. I learned that I could come alongside the local church in a village and partner with them in their labor of loving and leading their community to Jesus. The amazing love that God has loved us with has become a passion to proclaim this good news.
Years later, in the early 2000’s, my wife and I moved our small family to partner with Japanese churches in reaching their communities with the good news of Jesus. Our time in Japan taught me the joys and challenges of cross-cultural ministry. God has led us on a journey of serving in many different contexts. My passion is the joy of sharing stories of how God’s transforming love changes people’s lives as they come to know and experience Jesus. As the new Communications Director, my goal is to help every donor and church partner feel deeply connected to our shared mission by highlighting the work happening on the field through engaging digital communications and community events.
