Did you know that you can change the lives of people all over the world without a plane flight or end-of-the-year giving? You don’t even have to volunteer anywhere. In fact, you can help people without them even knowing that you exist. If you are a child of the living God, you’ve got this power in your back pocket that’s like a portal to another world. You can literally go before the Creator of all things without fear of lightning strikes or eternal damnation. Not only that but you can also bring Him your petitions and requests and lay them right at the King’s feet.
So let’s get this straight. You can walk right up to the throne of God above and help ask Him whatever you want? Yep. This is the power of prayer that God has made available to us through Jesus and we believe that it works. Through prayer, we can change the lives of people we will never meet by going before Jesus with their needs. Through prayer, we get deeper communion with God and a greater glimpse of how He is working in our world. Although going, giving, and serving are incredibly crucial, there is no more impactful way to be mobilized and sent out as missionaries than on our knees in prayer.
WEGO has been an organization of great faith since its founding in 1994, trusting God to work His will in and through us. Starting this June we are going to continue this open-handed dependence upon Jesus through a monthly prayer guide and gathering. Each month we will do two things: First, we will declare our dependence upon God and acknowledge that WEGO can do absolutely nothing apart from His Hand. No amount of mission, vision, or strategy can trump or outwork the work of God. Second, we will go before Jesus with specific prayer requests for people within our ministries around the world. We will pray for three focuses in both Nicaragua and Mongolia: a local church, a staff member, and someone who is being served by our ministries.
How To Join Us In Prayer
We will be praying together the first Friday of every month through the end of this year. There will be two different ways you can join with us.

We will post the WEGO Prayer Guide on our blog and through our email newsletter (sign up for it here) the first Friday of every month. Pray through the guide on your own during the time of our gathering or at your convenience. - PRAYER GATHERING
We will meet in the WEGO office at 11am the first Friday of every month to pray as a group. This will be a low-key gathering where we get to join our hearts and voices together and ask God to move among us and around the world. Each gathering will look a bit different but will always be followed by lunch together somewhere around Cocoa Village for those that are able!
Our first gathering will be June 2, 2017 at 11am! Our office is located at 315 Brevard Ave Ste. 1, Cocoa, FL 32922. We are on the 2nd floor of the brick building right across from Ossorios Bakery. We are the first door on the right once you walk up the steps. We hope that you can find a way to pray with us either through the guide or at a gathering. Through prayer, we can change the world!
