As I take time for a sabbatical this June, I invite you into the silence and awe with me. More than that, I wave you over to join me in doing the one thing God brings me to do every single month – look up and trust Him alone for His work around the globe. Not me. Not my ideas. Not my labor. Only dependence upon Him and Him alone. That’s what Sabbath rest teaches us. That God still works while we wait because it was always His work anyway.
So, yes, let’s turn our eyes to Psalm 46:10 this June.
Settle yourself at Jesus’ feet.
Look up in wonder.
Know your knowable Creator.
Hear Him whisper your name.
Watch as His finger counts your hair and spins galaxies with another.
Rest fully yourself upon His words:
In every corner and every people, He will be praised.
