By Aaron White, WEGO Storyteller
“But now, the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it–the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith.”
Romans 3:21-25a
Easter is here. Good Friday to Resurrection Sunday, the time has come to reflect on the sacrifice and victory of Jesus Christ. What we could not accomplish ourselves has been given to us for free: relationship with God. Isn’t that amazing?
Propitiate: to win the favor of, or appease.
As sinful humans, we were only capable of incurring wrath (the exact opposite of propitiation), because God is entirely just, and will not abide sin. Right from the fall, God could have turned His back on us forever. But instead, in infinite wisdom, justice and love, He sent Jesus to be killed and raised back to life, that we might be forgiven. Then, as if not satisfied with this gigantic miracle of humility, He called us daughters and sons, and brought us into His family.
What grace and mercy it is to us that we were actually made for this all along. The soul can only be satisfied by being with God, as Adam was, so God paved the road back to Eden with the blood of His Son. So as you pray through the guide this month, remember that this is what you were made for: communion with God. There is no pleasure that can fill you like the pleasure of being in relationship with Jesus Christ. Drink deep and be satisfied.

House Church – Gachuurt, Mongolia
About House Church:
House Church is pastored by Puje, Ministry Director of WEGO Mongolia. In 2008, Puje felt God pressing him to start a church to serve the community of Gachuurt, where New Hope Children’s Home is located. This led to the establishment of a home church, right on New Hope’s Campus, where the congregation (primarily made up of our staff) can gather weekly for worship, teaching, and fellowship. They engage in community service, as well as being a place of encouragement for one another as they seek to share Christ in their work and homes. When the service is finished they typically share stories and laugh while sipping milk tea before returning to work, serving our children.
How You Can Pray:
1) Pray that God would keep Puje, his family, the staff of New Hope, their families, and the community of Gachuurt healthy, and safe from the coronavirus.
2) Pray that God would give Puje wisdom as he leads the congregation.
3) Pray that our new staff members Mashbat and Tsetsenjunaa would see the glory of Jesus and come to Him for life.
4) Pray that God would grow the members of the church and give them faith and patience to rely on God in any challenges.
5) Pray for the children of New Hope who are learning chess and instruments, that God would use their knowledge to nourish His Kingdom in the future.

Sometimes it’s stressful because I just don’t have the answer, but the Lord has a purpose for everything–I need more strength so I can face whatever may come. Raquel, Zelyde, Marlene and I have been working as a team to do our jobs the best we can. I have a 11 year old son, and my daughter is 5. My family and I attend Hosanna Church.”
How You Can Pray:
1) Pray that God would direct us. There is a lot of work to do here.
